Guang Chu is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He is now investigating the fluid mechanics of biological living liquid crystals, focusing on the collective behaviors of self-propelled microswimmers in active chiral nematic liquid crystals.
Before joining our Lab, he completed his B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2011, and then he moved to Jilin University to work on inorganic chemistry.
In 2016, he was awarded his PhD degree in the State Key Laboratory of Inorganic Synthesis and Preparative Chemistry, in which he studied the optical properties of chiral nematic based materials.
